A black mark system will be operating. When a child receives 5 black marks she will have to attend detention. Please therefore encourage your children to abide by the rules so that they don’t get punished and support the school in this regard. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES will cell phones be allowed at school. If found they will be confiscated and only returned once a fine of R100 has been paid.  A parent may then collect it from the office.

All parents are required to attend these very important class meetings at the beginning of each year. These are called POLICY EVENINGS where the teachers explain homework procedures, expectations for the year etc. It is essential that you attend these class meetings which start promptly at 5:15 pm, on the respective days, in your child’s classroom or as otherwise stated in the hall.

Tuesday 27 January Grade 2, Grade 3 and all Grade 5’s (hall)
Wednesday 28 January All Grade 6’s (hall)
Thursday 29 January All Grade 7’s (hall)

This form must be completed by both biological parents. Please note that both sides of this form needs to be completed. If you have one daughter at LGS fill in her details under “ELDEST CHILD” at LGS.

Today your daughter will take home a legal document agreement to pay school fees. Please fill in your details and return straight away. If this agreement document is not received by 27th February 2015, we will assume that the fees would be paid in full by 27th February 2015 and if not paid then you will be handed over immediately.

Parents we urge you to pay your school fees for 2015 by Cell Phone Banking, Electronic Transfer or Stop Order and not cash as this will cut down on extra bank charges for the school as well as for you. Any parents of girls in Grades 1 to 7 wishing to apply for subsidies (reduction in school fees) must do so, in writing, as soon as possible. Once we have received this written request, you will be sent the necessary forms to fill in. Grade RR and Grade R parents do not qualify for subsidies. We encourage children to buy money purses which they can wear around their necks, for bringing their money for cake sales and the Tuck Shop.

Thank you very much for this outstanding FB page…I am responsible for sponsoring 2 girls to Longmarket, new this year in to gr 4…they don’t live with me and this gives me a chance to keep abreast of all the notices and information in between visits – they won’t panic about me not knowing!
