Circular 3/2016: Swim-a-thon, Valentine Market & More

SWIM-A-THON
Our school swim-a-thon will take place in the first term this year from Monday 15th February until Friday 19th February. The girls will do their laps during their class P.E lessons. We are busy fundraising to build change rooms at the swimming pool. There will be an inter-class competition to see which JP and SP class raises the most money. The winning classes will be given a treat. All sponsor forms and money must be sent back to school by 1ST March which is the closing date for the competition.

VALENTINE MARKET
The Valentine Market will be held during school time on Friday 12th February. Girls must bring their coins in their money purses hung around their necks. They may wear red/pink/white civvies on this day. We will be selling LGS bags this Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for R15-00 to use for purchases on Friday .

SCHOOL PHOTOS
This year Panday’s will be taking our school photos. They have a once off special which includes a mini album of Nelson Mandela, a portrait photo and a class photo. The photos will be taken on Wednesday the 24th February. If you would like a photo please send R25 to the class teacher before Friday 19th February.

DISCOUNT FOR PAYING THE YEARS FEES BY MONDAY 29TH FEBRUARY 2016
If the years school fees are paid before 29th February a 5.5% discount will be given. However if paid by cash the cash deposit fees will be debited to your school fee account.

d6 COMMUNICATOR
Parents you URGENTLY need to download the d6 Communicator onto your cell phone or computer. If you have trouble downloading the d6 pop into the office for help. Vital information is going to be sent via the d6 to all parents, from the beginning of March.

REMINDERS:
Car Park
1. No girls will be allowed to wait in the car park from 2:20 pm until 3:15 pm . They will be sent to sport. Therefore parents if you are running late just come after 3:15 pm. Please inform all transport to come from 3:15 pm from Mondays to Thursdays. Grade 1 and 2 girls will be sent to casual aftercare.
2. Medical Aid or Marsh School Insurance. Parents if you don’t have a medical aid or school insurance please will you pay R164 for school insurance this week!
