Circular 3/2017: VALENTINE MARKET, SWIM-A-THON & d6 COMMUNICATOR

VALENTINE MARKET
We will be selling LGS shopping bags this week for R15-00 that can be used for purchases on Friday.

SWIM-A-THON
Our school swim-a-thon will take place from Monday 13th February until Friday 17th February. The girls will do their laps during their class P.E lessons. There will be an interclass competition to see which JP class and which SP class raises the most money. The winning classes will receive a treat. All sponsor forms and money must be sent back to the school by 1st March which is the closing date for the competition.

d6 COMMUNICATOR
Parents you URGENTLY need to download the d6 Communicator onto your cell phone or computer. If you have trouble downloading the d6 pop into the office for help. Vital information is going to be sent via the d6 to all parents, from the beginning of March.

INDEPENDENT, CONFIDENT GIRLS
Gr R to 7 girls are capable of walking to their classrooms in the mornings without being escourted. Gr RR may be escourted for the first few weeks.

LOST PROPERTY
Lost property is now placed in baskets in the big kitchen. Please parents see that all items of your daughter’s clothing are marked. Once a week check your daughter’s uniform. We have only been at school a few weeks and the amount of lost property is alarming.

DISCOUNT FOR PAYING THE YEAR’S FEES BY TUESDAY 28TH FEBRUARY 2017
If the year’s school fees are paid before 28th February a 5.5% discount will be given. However if paid by cash the cash deposit fees will be debited to your school fee account.

GOVERNING BODY PARENTS
We are looking for new parents to serve on our school Governing Body. It involves meeting once a term. If you are keen let Mrs Lochner have your name and contact details. If you know of someone who will be good, speak to them.

GUIDE DOGS FOR BLIND PEOPLE
Please help fundraise for paying towards the training of guide dogs. Just collect the tabs on any tin and send them to school.
