Dear Parents

MARKET DAY
Thank you to all our Gr 6 and 7 girls for a splendid Market Day. A big thank you also to all our girls from Gr RR to Gr 5 and staff who supported by purchasing items from the stalls or participating in various activities.

CAKE SALE
We will be having our last cake sale of the year on Thursday 21 October. Our Grade 1 and 2 girls will be providing the cakes and ‘goodies’. We are in desperate need of mothers who can help serve at the cake sale. Please contact the office if you are able to help on Thursday.

PHOTOS
Please place orders with money for the Lion King photos. There are 70 different photos to choose from. They are displayed in “The Link” outside the hall. The photos cost R5 each and you can order 5 photos for only R20.

SCHOOL BAGS
We will be selling Longmarket School bags with our school badge on from our school shop. There will be only 2 types of bags to choose from, a standard size one and a larger one with more compartments. As soon as they arrive we will show them to the children in assembly.

CINDI (Children in Distress)
St Nicholas school has approached our school on behalf of the “Children helping Children” Working Group of the CINDI network. They require help with “goodies” for the “Party Packs” for the annual CINDI party on Saturday 30 October 2010. If possible please could your daughter donate 1 or more of the following items: fizzers, rolls of Super Cs or small packets of chips. She can bring them to school on Friday and she may wear civvies as a “thank you” for supporting children whose lives are drastically affected by the AIDS pandemic in our country.

STATIONERY
The girls that will be going into Gr RR to Gr 3 next year will have their stationery bought for them. The school will order the necessary items in bulk. Parents, we request you pay to R400 for your child’s stationery.

FEES
The last date for payment of fees is 5 November 2010 at 1 p.m. All outstanding fees will be handed over to the lawyers. The total of outstanding fees to date is R672 612.66.

LEAVERS
Please advise the school in writing if your daughter will be leaving our school at the end of the term.
