Dear Parents
AWARD CEREMONIES
The Junior Primary teachers have been busy preparing their classes for their award ceremonies. All parents are invited to attend their daughter's award ceremony.
Tuesday 30 November: Grade RR Awards Ceremony 8:00
Grade R Awards Ceremony 9:00
Grade 1 Awards Ceremony 11:00
Thursday 2 December: Grade 2 Awards Ceremony 8.30
Grade 3 Awards Ceremony 11.00
We encourage all Junior Primary Parents to support their child's Awards Ceremony as it means so much to them.
Our Senior Primary Prizegiving for all girls in Grade 7, the choir and other prizewinners in Grade 4,5and 6 will be held on Thursday 9 December 2010 at 9:00. The other Senior Primary and Junior Primary girls won't have any school on this day as all staff will be attending the Prizegiving.
All school offices will be closed from 9 a.m to 11 a.m. There will be no Aftercare on this day
POOL PARTIES
Different classes will be having their end o year pool parties. Please send their "party food" to school with them, if they have been asked to bring something, don't have it delivered to school during the morning.
NEWSPAPERS
We are doing our very last collection for the year. Newspapers collected will be sent for recycling on Wednesday 8 December 2010.
STATIONERY
A reminder about stationery for next year. Gr RR to Gr 2, please remember to pay your R400 by 30 November so that you may receive your stationery on the 1st day. Senior Primary parents who have ordered WALTONS STATIONERY please collect it from Libraryland on Monday 6 December 2010 between 10:00 and 15:00 or on Tuesday 7 December between 7.30 and 9.00.
SCHOOL CLOTHING SHOP
A reminder to all Gr RR and R parents. Grade R girls wear a different T shirt to the Grade RR girls and Grade Ones wear dresses Please visit our shop soon to avoid being in a long queue in January.
Shop times for now are: Tuesday: 07:15 to 08:00
12:30 to 14:30
Thursday: 12:30 to 14:30
All other parents please check that your daughter hasn't lost any item of clothing and that she has her name on her uniform. Please obtain iron on name labels through the shop - all clothing must be marked. Also check that your daughter's uniform isn't too small/tight and the length of the dress is just above her knee.
FEED THE BABIES FUND
I received a letter from Diana McLaren: "On behalf of Feed the Babies Fund we would like to express our sincere thanks to your school for the funds raised. Please convey our thanks to your pupils and their parents for the marvellous support and the generosity shown by them. Your donation totalled R25 000.20. and will be utilised to feed the many beneficiaries we support throughout KZN.
HAMPERS
This Friday 3 December we will be collecting grocery items to make "Thank You Hampers" for our General Assistants. Please send items like tinned foods, packets of tea, soup, biscuits and other suitable goods. Children may wear civvies on Friday for bringing an item for the hamper.
BREAK UP DAY
The last day of school this year is Friday 10 December 2010. There will be a Final Assembly on this day and all girls will receive their reports. Junior Primary and Senior Primary classes will close at 11:00. The office will close at 12:00. There will be NO After Care on this day.
