Congratulations to those families which arrived here in South Africa 150 years ago. We at Longmarket Girls’ School are proud to be associated with the Indian Community (families) and celebrate the 150 years in South Africa with them. To commemorate this auspicious occasion we would like to suggest that on Friday 26 November all learners, who wish to dress in traditional Indian clothing, may do so. Those children wishing to share their family’s history are encouraged to submit any articles to Mrs Forbes-Merritt in the Senior Primary library.
CAPITAL K AT MIDMAR DAM
There are 13 girls from Longmarket Girls’ School participating in the Capital K at Midmar on Sunday 21 November. We wish them all the best.
