Cross-country run, Cake sale & Family day

SCHOOL CROSS-COUNTRY RUN
The weather forecast for tomorrow is ± 30ᵒ. As our Senior girls are required to run a few laps for their cross-country event, we have decided to start as early as possible.

Our proposed times are as follows:

Gr R, 1 and 2 – 9:00 am to 9:30 am
Under 9 – 9:30 am – 9:45 am
Under 10 and Under 11 – 9:45 am – 10:15 am
Under 12 and Open – 10:15 am – 11:15 am

Girls will need to have sun screen, water bottles and hats/caps. Lessons will take place before and after cross-country and school will close as normal. There will be sport and Aftercare.

CAKE SALE
As the cross-country is starting early we have decided to change our cake sale to the following day, Thursday 28th August. Sorry for all the changes and any inconvenience caused.

SPRING FAMILY DAY
A reminder about our Spring Family Day this Saturday 30th August. All family members and friends are welcome.

Our proposed programme for the day is:

8:00 am – Registration for the walk
8:15 am – The ± 3km walk begins
9:00 am – Gr 7 Drama Production in Auditorium
9:30 am – Choir and musical items in the quad
9:30 am – Gr RR, R and 1 Spring hats or hair in the quad
10:00 am – Gr 2 and 3 Spring hats or hair in the quad
10:00 am – Gr 7 Miss Spring on the field
10:30 am – Gr 4, 5 and 6 Spring hats or hair in the quad
10:30 am – Senior Interhouse soccer on the field

Parents please don’t just drop off your daughter but come as a family as it is our Annual family day.

Cross-country run, Family and Casual Day

ANNUAL SCHOOL CROSS-COUNTRY RUN
On Friday 22nd August 2014, we will be having our Annual Cross Country run at school. The Grade R to Grade 3 girls will run their races at 10:00 am and then go back to class and continue with their normal classroom activities until 12:30 pm. The Grade 4 to 7 girls will start at 10:30 am and will finish school at 1:00 pm. All girls from Grade R to 7 are participating and must come to school dressed in their P.E. clothes, tracksuits and takkies. If your child is unable to run, please send a Doctor’s certificate or a note to the class teacher. Parents are welcome to come and watch and cheer the girls on.
